As she walked past a field of pretty flowers, Andrea let out a loud sneeze. It looked like her allergies had come back with a vengeance, her nose having turned beet red due to all the pollen in the air.

Luckily, a Cherubi hanging from the branch of a nearby tree was moved by the girl's plight, and shot a Heal Pulse towards her, curing her of her stuffy nose. "Ahhh... I feel much better now! Thanks, friend!" She smiled in gratitude as she waved at the little cherry Pokémon. What a friendly, helpful guy!

With her dreadful allergies put to rest for the time being, the intrepid adventurer continued exploring the Safari Zone in search of more dangerous critters.

"D'awww, it's sooo cute~!" Andrea cooed, looking at the Togepi that walked out of the tall grass. As a PokéManiac, she preferred big and tough-looking Pokémon, but she also couldn't resist the cute and cuddly ones. She sent out her Tyrantrum to do battle, whose booming roar rattled the nearby trees. "Okay, Regina, let's go easy on the little guy. It's only a baby, after all." The Dragon type enthusiast pointed out.

The small critter flashed a nonchalant smile at the gargantuan T-Rex, then began to wag its stubby finger to and fro. Its luck-based Metronome move soon took the form of a devastating, reality-distorting beam, blasting Regina with power rivaling that of a certain legendary Pokémon that had created time. So much for it only being a baby...

"Oh my gosh! Are you alright, Regina?!" Andrea cried out. The prehistoric apex predator nodded as she groggily rose from the ground, having sustained heavy damage. After having released such a powerful attack, the Togepi felt light-headed, sitting down so that it could catch its breath. Huffing indignantly, the Despot Pokémon approached the prone creature and Stomped it unceremoniously, having had just about enough of its RNG antics.

In the aftermath of the battle, Togepi lied in the middle of a crater shaped like the Tyrantrum's massive foot, its eyes having turned into comical swirls. "Regina! Whatever happened to going easy on him?" The young PokéManiac chastised her temperamental dinosaur, who was having none of it. Sighing, the girl threw a Safari Ball at the dizzy Togepi.

Spotting something sparkly behind the bushes, Andrea went to investigate, pushing the foliage apart to find a female Nidoran with an unusual coloration hiding underneath. "Hi there! Would you like to be my friend?" She cordially asked, but the Nidoran saw the larger human as a threat, immediately jumping at her and trying to jab her with its horn.

The draconic cosplayer squealed, moving away at the last second. "Eeek! Okay, I guess we'll have to battle first!" She said, calling back Regina who was still weakened from the previous battle, and reaching for another of her Pokéballs. "Steel types have an advantage against Poison types, sooo... Go, Barron!" She exclaimed, sending out her Aggron.

The angry rodent called upon the power of the earth, making the ground beneath Barron's feet explode with power. "Barron, Protect!" His trainer cried out. The armored rhinoceros generated a protective barrier around himself that nullified the damage. "Now Heavy Slam!" He then jumped into the air, landing on top of the much smaller Pokémon with destructive impact.

"That should do it. I wonder why it's purple, though. Maybe it's sick?" The young PokéManiac mused, before hurling a Safari Ball towards the low-health shiny Nidoran.

"A new friend. I will treasure her forever..." Andrea mused, putting Nidoran's ball close to her chest. She then lied down on the grass, taking a breather from the two intense battles that had happened in rapid succession.

She saw a little red bird flying above the trees, but didn't feel like disturbing it. After all, it could be flying back to its nest to feed its young. Or, if it was a bachelor bird, perhaps it was flying in search of a mate. Either way, it was better to let nature take its course.

The sound of an Azurill jovially bouncing on its ball-shaped tail caught the dragon-hooded girl's attention; Another insanely cute Pokémon that she wouldn't mind owning, but she didn't have the heart to sic Barron on that poor baby. The power disparity was just too high. He would demolish her!

As such, Andrea chose the befriending route, approaching the Azurill slowly and carefully so as not to scare it away. Luckily, she had brought a few berries with her for the occasion. "Hi there, little buddy! Are you hungry? Look at what I have!" With a plastic knife she cut one of the berries into bite-sized pieces, offering one to the infantile Fairy type.

While skeptical at first, the little blue mouse eventually came towards her, opening its tiny mouth and accepting the tasty bribe, bouncing happily afterwards. Andrea smiled as well. "You like it? I'm glad. There's more where that came from, so let's be friends!" She offered, pointing at her penultimate Safari Ball.

After befriending that Azurill, the draconic cosplayer kept walking on the naturally-formed trail, until she found a wild Ponyta grazing on the fields. Now this looked like more of a fair challenge. Andrea gestured for her loyal Aggron to attack it, who in turn hit the equine Pokémon with a Double-Edge, his Rock Head ability protecting him from the recoil.

While it did a fair amount of damage, the move backfired, as Barron was burned after making contact with Ponyta's fiery mane. The Flame Wheel that followed courtesy of the agitated horse only worsened the situation. "Barron, return!" His trainer called him back, making a mental note to have him healed up at the Pokémon Center later.

"It's your turn, Missy! Hit that Ponyta with your Dizzy Punch!" She then sent out her Kangaskhan, who punched the flaming horse so hard, it was seeing stars. Andrea had one last Safari Ball left, so she'd have to make it count, throwing it at Ponyta while it was still disoriented.
